Students in drama learn skills in improvisation, characterisation, voice diction, projections, group collaboration and team building through various in class drama exercises, script performance and analysis. Students are able to explore and develop their own creative ideas in both monologue and group based performances. The end of year concert gives drama students the opportunity to realise a piece of dialogue from characterisation to costume design, and from stage direction to performance, lighting and microphone technique.

For those who are experienced at dancing, you all know the more flexible you are the better the dancer you’ll be and the more control you will have over your body.

Students can participate in Examinations through Capricorn Ballet & Arts Academy (C.B.A.A) which is a recognised qualification within the dancing profession.

Examinations are the best way for students to consolidate and record their experience with a qualification so that they can progress and venture into teaching or a dance career.

Examinations give the students targets that strengthens confidence, discipline and improves their overall dance ability.

Students in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern have the option of participating in the exam. Once you pass your exam you progress to the next level.

The Academy recommends that students who would like to gain more from their classes, become more qualified, learn a skill and be marked accordingly should participate in the Examinations.
